The Heavy Indianapolis Itself Seriously? i just watched the historical movie this year titled USS INDIANAPOLIS: MEN OF COURAGE , staring Nicolas Cage, Thomas Jane,  James Remar and so on.... so it really happened ? With summer jobs on the horizon, professionals recall the first jobs that launched their careers. #CareerLaunch  In the summer of 1971, I was babysitting for Mrs. Hackleberry for 50 cents an hour. I entered the Miss Fire Prevention contest sponsored by my local radio station WVOL in Nashville. Everyone, especially me, was shocked when I won.  When I went back to the radio station to claim my prize, a Longines watch and a "digital" clock radio, the local DJ saw me looking around in awe.  "Have you ever heard your voice on tape?” he asked. “Think you could read this?”  He tore some wire copy, adjusted the mic, and rolled tape as I began to speak. I hadn’t finished three sentences before he called for another guy, then another, to "come listen to this kid read.” I left the station that day with the biggest prize of all — my first job in broadcasting. I was 17 years old.

CNN's Robyn Curnow celebrates His Africa Hero Desmond Tutu. It was the late 1980s and townships were burning in South Africa. Apartheid's death throes were in full swing, violent and bloody, yet here was Archbishop Tutu, Nobel peace laureate and activist, in the chapel of Curnow's school. "He still took the time to come out and speak to a bunch of teenage girls in the suburbs," she marvels. The voice of a liberation movement, who unlike many of his peers was not in jail, nor in exile, Tutu was out to spread the word of an inclusive, equal society that at the time still lived beyond the horizon for South Africa.

Have you ever come across the story of the rich farmer who has a barn full of yams, and already it was time for another harvest. Waooooo, great! Isn't it? I can't just imagine how rich the man would be. So, instead of the rich man to give out is previous harvest to the poor, he was amazed at his wealth and was enveloped in it, then he told his servants to tear down the old barn and build a bigger one so as to hold the new harvest in it. Well it did happen and he had his harvest and his barn was filled to the brim again. Can you imagine the joy he could have felt? But, that night the Creator said to him "I shall take your life this moment" and all your riches shall be scattered and your name forgotten".
