CALIFORNIA FIRE: 62,000 People Have Fled Blaze

Day Of The African Child

Today we celebrate and honour every single African child, home and abroad, dead or alive, rich or poor, living in the woods, on the streets, in mansions, in refugee camps, in war Zones etc. With a broken heart, and a shivering mind, I send out my utmost wishes to every African Child who have to walk miles to school and back home daily, African child who have to hawk over 16hrs daily just to have a sip of water and a tiny loaf of bread to survive,  those who are casualties of meaningless Wars and violence, Victims of child trafficking, those who were made to watch their homes burn to Ashes, and their family destroyed. Remember we are the king of the Jungle, fear nothing and keep being strong, we were born strong, our roar will one day give us freedom. I have a dream that one day we won't have to walk miles to school daily, for education will be at our doors, a dream that one day we won't have to hawk to survive, for our parents will be employed legally, a dream that one no A...

Help Stop An Execution

Nearly two years ago, the eyes of the world were on Oklahoma, where a man named Richard Glossip was facing execution for a 1997 murder many people say he was not involved in. I learned about Richard’s case when actress Susan Sarandon contacted me, expressing deep concern that the State of Oklahoma was just about to kill an innocent man. After reviewing the facts, I too became convinced of Richard’s innocence, and we decided to  make a public plea for the governor to gra nt freedom On 30 September 2015, Richard came within minutes of execution by lethal injection, when officials suddenly stopped the proceedings. As it turned out, the state of Oklahoma had procured the wrong execution drug, risking another botched execution that would lead to a slow and painful death. At the last minute, Governor Mary Fallin, not exactly an opponent of the death penalty, issued a stay of Richard’s execution. Today, Richard’s situation is nowhere near being resolved. As the ...

UNICEF WARNS: STARVATION MAY KILL OVER 90000 CHILDREN IN NIGERIA IN THE NEXT 12MONTHS

The Northern Eastern part of Nigeria is the major part of the country expected to face the prediction of over 90000 death of children by the UNICEF, as a result of malnutrition as over 1.6million people have lost their homes and have been forced to flee to refugee camps in other parts of the country and other neighbouring countries due to the Boko Haram Insurgence in the Northern part of the country. Despite the warning made by the UNICEF to the government of the Country, we have heard of nothing so far from the government neither is there any moved been made instead the case is been worsen daily by the mysterious policy of President Mohammed Buhari. Prices of commodities increase on a daily base in the country, restriction of some certain trades and importation of some certain goods are banned. How are parents who have lost their homes and jobs expected to fend and provide for their children? If 90000 children die of only starvation, other illness and causes of death excluded, t...

My Country, my dream

I see a people rising, tired of being enslaved by their own people, speaking out for themselves, everyone determined and set to give it whatever it takes to break free from the chains of slavery in disguise. I see the streets filled and the homes empty, I see mothers behind their children, saying "this time no one is returning home until we are free", I see a united Nigeria, even though it looks divided but every tribe with one voice for the very first time. I see a peaceful march but yet the most fearsome movement ever. Then did I see the people melting  huge  hives of shackles and using them in building a strong hold, and few people did I see been lined and forced into the strong hold by the multitude. After this event did I hear a loud noise of joy, happiness, and of all it was the sound of freedom.  I see a one Nigeria, the north, south, east and west leaving peacefully, united and strong. I see a free and fair Election, equality before the law, a country where ever...
