The APC has rejected the result saying that  elections in some of its stronghold was cancelled and requested that it should be don again considering the difference between the ruling party and the main opposition party is 354 and the proposed disenfranchised voters are about 3,498.  Cancellations votes and center (1) Orolu LG - 947 voters (2) Ife South LG - 502 voters  (3) Ife North LG - 353 voters (4) Osogbo LG - 884 voters Total - 3,498  Elections declared inconclusive Rerun is likely to take place at the polling units where 3,498 Votes were cancelled in Osogbo, Orolu and Ife South local governments. The rerun of the OSUN Governorship election has been fixed for Thursday September 27, 2018 at the units where votes were cancelled.

Former First Lady  Barbara Bush  was laid to rest by her large and loving family on Saturday on the grounds of the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. It was an emotional day as Mrs. Bush's husband of 73 years, former President George H.W. The Police have confirmed the kidnap of the Cross River State Commissioner for Water Resources, Mr Gabriel Odu-Oji. According to the State Command, Mr Odu-Oji was kidnapped by unknown gunmen in the early hours of Sunday in Calabar South Local Government Area of the state. The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Tunde Gbolarumi, confirmed the incident during a telephone interview with Channels Television. Mr Gbolarumi said the Command has blocked all exit roads, with a strict stop and search exercise of all vehicles coming in and out of Calabar, aimed at preventing the kidnappers from fleeing out of the state’s capital successfully. Former South Korean President Park Geun-hye , who was removed from office earlier this month, was arrested on Friday. "Major crimes have been ascertained and there is a concern that the suspect might attempt to destroy evidence," Judge Kang Bu-young said in a text message to reporters. "The court recognizes the need, necessity and reasonableness of the suspect's arrest."
