CALIFORNIA FIRE: 62,000 People Have Fled Blaze

#3. GIVE US THE CHILDHOOD

We came to celebrate eid with you
We're asking you about the eid
Why we don't have eid or decoration?
Oh world
Our lands are infected with fire
Our free lands are stolen
Our skies are dreaming and asking the days
Our lands are stolen
Our land is small like me, young!
Give us the peace
And give us the childhood.
                                             Aatona Attofola.
The above will be familiar mostly to the Arab world. For so long children have been made to partake in wars they know nothing of, the little ones becoming a victim of the horrific moments caused by our so called selfish, self centered leaders, becoming a casualty of wars based on vengeance, greediness, racism etc.
There are days when I'm unable to sleep, and lay confidently on my pouch, knowing there re children out there on the streets, under bridges, in the dumps or out there in the forest, desert and so on. Who can't even get a good hour rest and yet we lay peacefully on our beds believing its none of our concern. Well, I tell you evil has a good way of growing and spreading very fast if not quench immediately. We are one, either black or white, christian or Muslim, western or northern, we remain one and together we can help a million children out there. They shouldn't be allowed to witness the horror the sky that ones poured peace, rains on our Land.
Pass this on and support a child and make the world a better place for the children for they are the future of the world.
Our Prayers are with you Children of war victims around the globe...
Be strong and bold, for you all we will create movement stronger than the wars and together we will leave the world better than we met it.

CALIFORNIA FIRE: 62,000 People Have Fled Blaze

The evacuations have come amid a grueling heat wave, the coronavirus pandemic and air thick with smoke. The wildfires have burned through more than 350,000 acres. The wildfires that continued to rip across Northern California on Thursday have forced 62,000 people from their homes and threaten evacuations for 100,000 more. Firefighters have struggled to contain the blazes, and massive smoke clouds have harmed the air quality. A large group of fires burning in wine country west of Sacramento had grown to cover 131,000 acres, according to Cal Fire, the state’s fire authority. The agency said that, in all, nearly 350,000 acres have burned in Northern and Central California, with many fires sparked by lightning strikes in the high heat and then fanned by winds. Those conditions helped new fires sprout across the state on Wednesday and Thursday, and caused other fires to merge, complicating efforts to contain the combined blazes. Almost two dozen major fires were reported on Wednesday,...

#Coronavirus & Flu - Washing hands for 20 seconds could keep you clear.

With flu season in full swing and the   coronavirus spreading rapidly throughout China, it's more important than ever that people take precautions to stay healthy. Officials in China   have confirmed more than 6,000 cases   of the respiratory illness and 132 deaths, and there have been five confirmed cases of the disease in the United States. As for the flu, there have been at least 15 million American cases this season  as of Jan. 18 , including 8,200 deaths — 54 of which were pediatric deaths. According to the   Centers for Disease Control , one of the best ways to protect yourself from these illnesses is to wash your hands often, and with the right technique. When your hands are clean, you can prevent germs from spreading from one person to another. To successfully wash hands, follow these five steps recommended by the CDC. First, wet your hands with clean, running water — warm or cold. After turning off the tap, apply soap to your hands and rub t...

Reopenings: “New Wide Release Movies Are Unlikely To Be Available”

The National Association of Theatre Owners is continuing its work advocating for cinemas during the COVID-19 pandemic. In their latest statement, the association responds to several states’ plans to open theaters as early as next week. The White House’s plan to open the economy includes theaters under “Phase One,” meaning they would be allowed to open after the area in which they operate in satisfies  three qualifying criteria . In the days since the White House released its plan, Georgia governor Brian Kemp has stated that movie theaters in his state  could be allowed to open as early as next Monday, April 27  if they adhere to “specific social distancing and sanitation mandates.” Governors of Tennessee and South Carolina have also announced plans to allow non-essential businesses to reopen, though what this means for movie theaters specifically has not yet been clarified. As states begin to move towards reopening, NATO issued the following statement: While some states a...
